Job summary

Etch is seeking a Senior Delivery Manager or Programme Manager to own end-to-end delivery across a portfolio of client engagements, guiding cross-functional teams from discovery through live delivery while managing risk and stakeholder relationships.

This role blends strategy and execution, with opportunities to work on large digital transformation programmes as well as BAU work, and to shape AI-enabled delivery practices. Hybrid working with 2 days in Southampton.

Qualifications

• 6 to 10 years of experience in programme or senior digital delivery, in consulting, agency, or digital transformation environment.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale, multi-workstream digital programmes on time and within budget.
• Strong command of agile and structured delivery methodologies and the judgment to know when to apply what.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools to improve planning, status reporting, risk identification or team productivity.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, comfortable with clients at workshops or executive committees.
• Experience growing delivery teams with a coaching mindset and focus on people development.
• Commercial awareness: forecast resource needs and contribute to commercial discussions.
• Natural problem-solver who brings calm, clarity and structure in complexity.
• Experience delivering in regulated or financial services environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of programmes and workstreams, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and on-quality outcomes across large digital product transformations and smaller BAU projects.
• Define and manage delivery frameworks, governance structures, and reporting cadences from agile sprints to programme-level steering.
• Act as a senior delivery contact for clients, building trust with senior stakeholders and sponsors.
• Lead and mentor the delivery team, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture.
• Identify, manage, and elevate risks, issues, and dependencies, keeping clients informed.
• Collaborate with Principal Consultants, Experience Designers, and Technology leads to reflect realistic effort and resourcing.
• Support account growth by flagging opportunities and contributing to proposals.
• Lead AI-augmented delivery approach to make programmes smarter, faster and more transparent.
• Champion continuous improvement of delivery tools, templates, and ways of working.
• Participate in Etch's wider commercial and PR activities, including thought leadership and events.
