Job summary

CORUM Butler, London, is seeking an English-speaking AI developer intern to work with the trading team. You will apply Python and AI to automate tasks, structure data, and improve workflows in a fast-paced environment.

Gain exposure to bond and derivatives markets, learn trading operations, and develop practical tools with Python, AI and LLMs under a dedicated mentor. This 6-month internship offers visibility into value creation for the team.

Qualifications

• Student in a master’s or final-year program in computer science, engineering, data science or quantitative finance.
• Good Python skills (including pandas) and basic SQL.
• First experience building with large language models (OpenAI or Anthropic APIs).
• Interest in financial markets.
• Fluent English.
• Curious, rigorous and able to explain technical work simply.

Responsibilities

• Understand the team's daily trading workflow and identify automation opportunities.
• Build tools that read emails and documents and convert them into clean, structured data.
• Automate routine checks and daily reports.
• Create dashboards to monitor trades, positions and performance.
• Test and document your tools in line with IT security and compliance rules.
• Present your work to the trading and portfolio management teams.
