Nexus Black is seeking an AI Deployment & Adoption Engineer to own the post‑sale journey from kickoff to live deployment and measurable value delivery. You’ll navigate enterprise environments, integrate with existing systems, and drive adoption with senior customer stakeholders.
You’ll work across API integrations, authentication, and cloud security, translating complex tech into business outcomes while continuously improving deployment models through AI-enabled automation.
Nexus Black is an AI-first business within IFS, built to move quickly, challenge traditional ways of working, and turn the potential of AI into real-world outcomes for enterprise customers. We build AI to solve hard problems for the industries that keep the world turning: up on power lines, down on factory floors, and out in the field.
Our products — Resolve (field service and predictive maintenance), Flow (production planning), Comply (regulatory compliance) and Reason (analytical reasoning) — are used by technicians and engineers who cannot afford a tool that doesn’t work first time. We pair 40 years of IFS industrial depth with the technical pace of a start-up, and we get results in weeks, not months.
We’re building a team of highly capable, high-ownership people who are comfortable operating across traditional boundaries. We care less about rigid job descriptions and more about people who can understand a problem, get hands‑on, and own the outcome.
We’re looking for an AI Deployment & Adoption Engineer to own the journey from signed customer to deployed, adopted and delivering measurable value.
This isn’t a traditional Implementation, Customer Success or Account Management role.
You’ll work directly with customers to understand their environment, integrate and configure our technology, navigate enterprise infrastructure and security requirements, drive rollout and adoption, and make sure what we’ve sold translates into something that works in the real world.
You’ll operate at the intersection of technical deployment, customer relationships and AI‑enabled delivery. You’ll be equally comfortable working through an API or integration challenge with a technical team, using AI tools to accelerate delivery, and sitting with senior customer stakeholders to discuss progress, blockers and outcomes.
Most importantly, you’ll be a doer. You’ll own problems rather than simply coordinating other people to solve them.
Take ownership of the post‑sale customer journey across: kickoff, integration, configuration, deployment, onboarding, adoption, rollout.
Work with customer technical teams to connect Nexus Black into their existing technology landscape. You’ll be comfortable working with:
You don’t need to be the deepest infrastructure engineer in the room, but you need enough technical fluency to understand the environment, diagnose problems and work effectively with the people who are.
Deployment isn’t complete because the technology has been switched on. You’ll understand how customers actually work, help teams incorporate Nexus Black into their workflows and identify what’s preventing adoption.
You’ll work with customer teams and executives to understand usage, outcomes and where additional value can be created. Success means customers are using what we’ve deployed and seeing measurable value from it.
You’ll become a trusted partner to customers throughout deployment and beyond. That means being comfortable moving between engineering teams, project leads and senior executives: translating technical complexity into clear business language and communicating confidently when things are going well and when they’re not.
You’ll be expected to challenge assumptions, manage difficult conversations and create confidence that we have the deployment under control.
We expect our own delivery model to reflect the technology we’re building. You’ll use AI extensively to automate and accelerate your work: from preparing kickoff materials and analysing customer conversations to documenting requirements, monitoring commitments, identifying risks and coordinating deployment activities.
Where repetitive coordination can be automated, we’ll automate it. You’ll continuously look for ways to make our deployment model more agentic, scalable and intelligent.
You’ll work closely with Sales, Product and Engineering. Sales will remain connected to the account after signature, and you’ll ensure commitments made during the sales process aren’t lost during handover.
You’ll surface recurring customer problems, integration challenges and product opportunities back to our teams so that every deployment makes the product: and the next deployment: better.
We’re deliberately open‑minded about where you’ve developed these skills. You might currently be a:
What matters more is the combination of experiences you’ve built. You’ll likely have:
We’re especially interested in people who have moved across traditional functional boundaries.
Perhaps you started as an engineer or technical implementer and gradually took ownership of customers. Maybe you’ve worked in a boutique consultancy or development shop where you had to understand the customer, design the solution, implement it and maintain the relationship. You may have worked in pre‑sales but found yourself wanting to stay with the customer and actually deliver what you’d designed. Or you may already be doing something similar under a completely different job title.
We don’t expect to find someone who has done this exact role before.
You stay close to the problem and own the outcome.
You’ll know you’re succeeding when:
Above all, customers should feel that when Nexus Black commits to an outcome, someone owns making it happen.
