Job summary

Mastercard Inc. is seeking a Manager, AI & Data Strategy to advance Mastercard’s AI and data strategy through research, stakeholder engagement and responsible AI principles.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of generative AI, agentic AI, ML, analytics and data management
• Experience in AI strategy, data strategy, analytics, responsible AI, product strategy or consulting
• Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous and rapidly evolving environments
• Excellent written, verbal and executive communication skills
• Experience developing presentations, strategic recommendations, frameworks or governance materials
• Familiarity with global AI regulatory developments and responsible AI frameworks
• Exposure to payments, financial services or another highly regulated industry

Responsibilities

• Advance Mastercard’s AI and data strategy through research, stakeholder engagement and practical application of responsible AI principles
• Collaborate with business, technology, legal, compliance, privacy and risk partners to evaluate emerging technologies and promote responsible AI adoption
• Support execution of Mastercard’s AI and data strategy by identifying improvement opportunities and driving outcomes
• Conduct advanced research into AI, analytics and data trends to identify opportunities and risks
• Contribute to internal and external thought leadership by synthesising industry developments into actionable insights
• Provide data-driven analysis and strategic recommendations regarding emerging AI capabilities
• Contribute to development of responsible data and AI governance frameworks and guardrails
• Assist in governance design to address regulatory, societal and technology-related risks
• Advise teams on integrating analytics and AI approaches into products and processes
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to embed responsible AI into operations and strategy
• Help foster data literacy and responsible innovation through guidance and education
• Engage in industry forums and publications to enhance Mastercard’s AI leadership
• Develop reusable frameworks, research summaries and governance artefacts
• Evaluate governance practices and AI adoption through ongoing measurement and improvement
• Mentor junior team members and promote capability building
• Align initiatives with Mastercard Way: value, collaboration, speed, integrity
