AJW Group is seeking a data engineer to own the data foundation for our AI products, within our cloud data platform. You will build robust ETL/ELT pipelines and ensure data quality.

You’ll collaborate with the AI Innovation team and cross-functional engineers, design data models, optimise SQL, monitor pipeline health and document data flows.

Qualifications

• Production-grade ETL/ELT pipelines experience in cloud data platforms.
• Strong SQL and data modelling capabilities.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses and data orchestration tools.
• Analytical, methodical and detail-oriented problem solver.

Responsibilities

• Designing, building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Writing and optimising SQL, and maintaining data models and schemas.
• Collaborating with the AI Engineer to meet data needs for AI features.
• Monitoring data pipeline health and troubleshooting issues.
• Liaising with the Data & Analytics function on architecture and standards.
• Documenting data flows, quality checks and retention practices.
