Job summary

Tiro Partners is seeking a Data Architect to lead data and technical architecture for an AI-focused portfolio in London. The role is hybrid, with 3 days in the office, and offers up to £100k plus bonus and benefits.

Responsibilities include designing data models, pipelines, storage, governance and building reusable data capabilities. The candidate will collaborate with engineering, security and data teams to ensure scalable, secure AI solutions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years' experience in Data Architecture/Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of data modelling, ETL/ELT, data warehouses and data lakes/lakehouses.
• Experience with APIs, integrations and enterprise systems.
• Cloud experience, ideally Azure.
• Strong SQL and Python knowledge.
• Understanding of data governance, security, privacy and data quality.
• Experience supporting data requirements for AI/ML applications.
• Hands-on with engineers and making pragmatic architectural decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve data and technical architecture across AI products.
• Define how applications, data, APIs, models and enterprise systems connect.
• Design data models, pipelines, storage and governance frameworks.
• Build reusable data capabilities, services and technical components.
• Set standards across APIs, integration, deployment and observability.
• Work closely with engineering, infrastructure, security and data teams.
• Help ensure AI solutions are scalable, secure and maintainable.
