Job summary

Graphcore in Bristol is offering a 12-week Software Engineer Summer Intern position in AI Compute Libraries & Performance. You will contribute to C++ libraries and compute kernels for machine learning workloads, helping AI models run efficiently on Graphcore hardware.

You'll gain hands-on experience, work with mentors, and learn profiling, numerical validation and performance tuning, connecting theory to how software maps to hardware.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS, Maths, ML, Data Science or related field.
• Experience with C or C++11; Python or scripting for automation.
• Understanding of linear algebra, numerical methods or scientific computing.
• Strong problem-solving and collaborative approach to unfamiliar technical challenges.

Responsibilities

• Develop compute kernels for ML workloads (GEMM, convolutions, reductions).
• Improve performance via profiling, threading and memory layouts.
• Build regression tests and numerical checks to ensure correctness.
