Job summary

Fractile is building silicon, systems and software to redefine AI frontiers. As Processor Architect, you will define and drive the compute engine architecture from ISA to memory hierarchies, working with design, verification and physical teams to translate ideas into real silicon.

You will lead architectural exploration, develop performance models, and mentor engineers while collaborating with software and modelling groups to deliver high-performance, power-aware solutions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Processor Architect or similar role in high-performance compute.
• Deep understanding of compute engine design and memory hierarchies.
• Strong grasp of RTL flows and physical design feedback to architecture.
• Experience taking designs from concept to tapeout and post-silicon validation.
• Demonstrated ability to define and manage performance and power budgets with trade-offs.
• Excellent communicator across architecture, modelling, software and hardware.

Responsibilities

• Define and own compute engine architecture specifications balancing performance, power, and design complexity.
• Lead architectural exploration from early concept through to specification, coordinating with modelling, implementation, verification, and physical design teams.
• Specify execution units, memory hierarchy, ISA and flow — making principled trade-offs at every level.
• Help build and maintain performance models and simulators to guide architectural decisions with data.
• Partner with the system architecture and software/modelling teams to ensure the processor delivers real-world application performance.
• Evaluate emerging techniques to inform the architectural roadmap.
• Act as a technical mentor, raising the bar for rigour in performance analysis and architectural documentation.
• Represent compute engine architecture in technical reviews, partner discussions, and customer engagements.
