Job summary

Ideal candidates are pursuing an undergraduate or integrated master’s in CS/data science/engineering and have strong coding and communication skills, ready to contribute to real drug development challenges.

Qualifications

• Currently undertaking an undergraduate or integrated master’s degree starting Sep 2027.
• Degree subject in CS, data science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, AI, or related.
• Hands-on coding in Python, R, or Julia.
• Understanding of AI and ML basics.
• Experience on ML, data analysis, AI, automation projects.
• Good organisational and collaboration skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Curiosity and enthusiasm for solving problems.

Responsibilities

• Apply coding and analytical skills to real business challenges.
• Develop experience using Python, R, or similar tools.
• Explore AI and ML techniques to support oncology projects.
• Contribute to AI-enabled tools that enhance literature search.
• Present work within AstraZeneca to diverse audiences.
