Nationwide Group is seeking a practical AI & Automation Solutions Specialist to turn operational challenges into useful, safe and measurable outcomes. You will work within the Tooling & Technology team to build AI agents, automate workflows, and implement data quality controls that deliver proactive insight and efficiency.

The role is capably hybrid, requiring collaboration across Operations, Retail, Data, Technology and business teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with AI/automation concepts and governance is preferred.
• Ability to translate operational challenges into measurable, safe solutions.
• Familiarity with data quality controls and proactive insights is a plus.

Job description

We're looking for a practical and curious AI & Automation Solutions Specialist who can turn operational challenges into useful, safe and measurable solutions.

Working within our Tooling & Technology team, you'll help create a governed environment that enables the function to work faster, smarter and at scale. You’ll build and improve AI agents, automated workflows, data quality controls and early-warning capabilities that reduce manual effort and turn operational data into proactive insight.

This is a capability enablement role, not a traditional reporting or IT support role. You’ll work across Operations, Retail, Data, Technology and business teams to shape demand, test ideas and move successful solutions into controlled business-as-usual use. Business owners will remain accountable for source data, KPI definitions and interpretation, while you provide the tooling, automation and adoption expertise needed to deliver sustainable outcomes.

For this role, you'll be based at your nearest regional office or hub. We value time spent together to connect with colleagues for collaboration so there will be a regular requirement to attend our Gosforth site approximately once per month. If you are based at an office location, you'll be expected to meet our hybrid working requirement of at least two days a week, or 40% of your working time if part-time, in the office.
