Job summary

Huawei Research and Development UK Limited is seeking a motivated researcher to explore emerging technologies in AI Agent data management, Agent Memory, and AI-driven data systems. The role blends technical research with industry analysis, hands-on prototyping and project coordination.

You will evaluate academic research, open-source projects, and industry solutions, identify promising opportunities, and work with the team to validate ideas and advance practical outcomes.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, or related field.
• Programming: Proficiency in at least one language such as Python, Java, or C++.
• Technical interest: Familiarity with databases, data management, LLMs, or AI Agents.
• Research skills: Strong reading, analytical, and summarisation abilities; able to produce clear technical reports.
• Collaboration: Good communication, proactive attitude, team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Track developments in AI Agents, Agent Memory, data management, and AI/DB integration; review papers, OSS projects, and industry products.
• Identify innovative opportunities and propose research directions with validation plans.
• Contribute to PoC and demo development, including experimental validation and performance evaluation.
• Support project planning, progress tracking, and cross-team collaboration to advance research outcomes.
