AI Adoption Consultant | Healthcare | London (1 day per week) | Outside IR35
A healthcare business is looking for an AI Adoption Consultant to help shape what work looks like in an AI-enabled organisation - and turn that vision into reality.
This is a hands-on, organisation wide role for someone who understands that successful AI adoption is about much more than introducing new tools. The opportunity is to rethink how teams work, redesign workflows, build new capabilities and demonstrate measurable improvements in quality, speed and capacity.
You’ll work closely with senior leadership, technology, learning and development, and teams across the organisation to identify where AI can fundamentally change the way work gets done.
What you’ll do
- Develop a practical vision for how an AI-enabled healthcare organisation should operate.
- Work with teams across the business to understand existing workflows and identify opportunities for meaningful AI-led redesign.
- Challenge teams to look beyond using AI as an assistant and explore entirely new ways of working.
- Turn ideas into practical experiments, prototypes and new workflows, using the AI capabilities available today.
- Measure the impact of experiments across areas such as quality, efficiency, throughput, capacity and user experience.
- Translate future workflows into clear technology and capability requirements, working closely with technical colleagues on feasibility, security, privacy and architecture.
- Build and maintain a prioritised roadmap for future AI capabilities.
- Develop AI capability across the organisation through workshops, coaching, demonstrations, clinics and hands-on sessions.
- Create practical guidance, templates and reusable workflows, and help establish internal AI champions and communities of practice.
- Lead a cross-functional AI Council, helping shape AI adoption, policy and the implications for teams, roles and careers.
- Work with senior leaders to consider how AI could change the operating model of their functions - not simply make individual employees more productive.
Your Profile
You’ll be an experienced AI practitioner, consultant or transformation professional who combines deep hands on AI fluency with strong organisational and communication skills.
- Strong, current experience with generative AI, including LLMs, RAG, agentic systems and tools such as Claude Code and OpenAI Codex.
- The ability to rapidly prototype AI-enabled solutions and demonstrate what is possible.
- A track record of redesigning workflows and operating models rather than simply automating existing tasks.
- Experience running experiments, measuring impact and embedding successful approaches with users.
- Enough technical understanding to translate business needs and future workflows into meaningful technology requirements.
- Excellent facilitation, communication and coaching skills, with the ability to work confidently with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working in a regulated or sensitive environment - ideally healthcare, healthtech, fintech or another data-sensitive sector.
- A strong understanding of AI security, privacy, data protection, responsible AI and human oversight.
