Job summary

Plumpton College in England seeks an experienced Agriculture lecturer to deliver Level 2 to higher-level programmes while supporting learners across practical and theory-based lessons.

The role offers full teacher training, structured induction, CPD, and opportunities to work with industry partners. A relocation package is available, along with a Teachers' Pension, generous holiday allowance, and a welcoming bonus up to 6,000.

Qualifications

• UK agriculture, farming or rural industry experience.
• Relevant degree or professional qualification or equivalent experience.
• Strong subject knowledge across areas such as farm management, livestock, arable, soil science, agri-tech, sustainability, animal science or agricultural consultancy.
• Teaching experience desirable but not essential; full training, induction and CPD provided.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Agriculture programmes from Level 2 through to higher-level provision.
• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons.
• Assess learner work and provide constructive feedback.
• Track learner progress and support student achievement.
• Support tutorials, learner development and progression.
• Work with employers, stakeholders and wider industry partners.
• Contribute to quality improvement, curriculum development and promotional activity.
• Support open days, recruitment events and wider College activities.
