Job summary

Henry Blue is seeking a Curriculum Area Manager - Agriculture to provide strategic and operational leadership across the Agriculture provision in Preston, Lancashire. You will lead teaching and technical teams, drive a high-quality curriculum, and ensure student outcomes align with employer needs.

The role requires significant UK agriculture sector experience, a teaching qualification (or commitment to obtain one within two years), and strong data-driven planning.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in UK agriculture sector with leadership in teaching and assessment.
• Strong ability to develop and drive a high-quality curriculum across multiple provision streams.
• Proven track record using data to drive improvements in attendance, retention, and outcomes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement to build employer partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop teaching and technical teams across Agriculture provision.
• Develop an ambitious curriculum aligned to industry and employer needs.
• Drive improvements in attendance, retention, achievement and progression.
• Use data and KPIs to identify and deliver performance improvements.
• Build strong relationships with employers and industry partners.
• Support student recruitment and curriculum growth.
• Manage departmental resources and budgets.
• Ensure safeguarding, QA and health & safety standards.
