Job summary

Crawfords Group is seeking a Workshop Manager to oversee daily workshop operations, coordinating technicians, repairs, and service jobs. You will schedule, raise job cards, liaise with customers, manage invoicing and collaborate with service and sales teams to meet customer needs.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on leadership, strong organizational skills, and be prepared for out-of-hours support to maintain high service standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer communication skills and telephone manner.
• Agricultural machinery or automotive knowledge.
• Confident using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Office.
• Experience with Ibcos Gold system is advantageous but not essential.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment as part of a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage technicians work each day.
• Book repairs/service jobs.
• Manage work to be invoiced.
• Raise job cards daily gathering as much information as possible.
• Liaise with service team regarding telemetry and pro-actively coordinate servicing accordingly.
• Dealing with customer enquiries and queries.
• Manage internal prep forms and agree correct time allowance for jobs.
• Agree all extra works required with customers and sales manager.
• Liaise with sales department regarding preparation of new and used machinery.
• Answer out of hours calls to customers and technicians including evenings and weekends as per rota.
• Liaise with all engineers to make sure all works carried out in a timely manner.
• Liaise with customers and make sure all works are carried out as requested and communicate timelines with regular updates.

Benefits, wellbeing and development

• Annual Salary: Starting from £40K (depending on experience, to be discussed in detail at interview stage)
• Working Hours: 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, including Saturday’s on a rota basis. During Harvest, hours will be 7.30am to 6.00pm, with weekend and additional hours required for shows/working days on a rota basis.
