Job summary

Ripon Farm Services Ltd is seeking an Agricultural Service Technician to diagnose, repair and maintain a wide range of agricultural machinery in the workshop and on customers’ farms across the region.

You will travel locally, complete reports, and participate in manufacturer training; a full driving licence is required, and the role may include a company vehicle and a comprehensive benefits package.

Job description

As an Agricultural Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of agricultural machinery, both in the workshop and out in the field. This is a varied and hands‑on role that plays a vital part in ensuring our customers' equipment is kept running efficiently during critical farming periods. - Role overview: - Duties: To work in a busy Service Department performing maintenance and repairs on agricultural machinery. This work will often be done at customer's farms ensuring plenty of local travel around the area. - Qualities:

• The role requires you to act in a professional manner and actively promote Ripon Farm Services with positivity and integrity. Through your knowledge and experience, advise customers on optimisation techniques for their machines, products and services. Perform routine maintenance diagnostics and repairs in the field and at the depot workshop when required. Complete all reports and administration required for work assignments on time.
• Understand manufacturers' customer care process. Successfully complete mandatory training to support product knowledge and to maintain and develop your skills and knowledge. Comply with all Health and Safety legislation, Company Policies and Procedures, to ensure safety of all staff, customers, and visitors. Perform pre-delivery set up on new or used equipment and supports service specialists when required. A driving licence will be required as there will be a need to drive company vehicles and agricultural equipment. Knowledge of agricultural equipment would be preferred but full training on products and systems and will be provided.
