Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment is recruiting for an Agricultural/Land‑Based Engineering Trainer in York. You will use your hands‑on engineering experience to teach Level 2 and 3 students, with full training to become a lecturer.

This role offers Monday–Friday days, excellent facilities, and progression opportunities. You do not need prior teaching experience as full teacher training and support is provided, along with a strong pension and generous holiday.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical maintenance, servicing and fault‑finding experience.
• Experience with agricultural machinery, heavy plant, construction equipment, HGVs or similar equipment.
• Wants to move from industry into teaching and assessing.
• No previous teaching experience required; full teacher training provided.

Responsibilities

• Teach Level 2 & 3 Agricultural/Land‑Based Engineering students and apprentices.
• Cover servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repair training.
• Work with agricultural machinery and land‑based engineering equipment.
• Teach mechanical, hydraulic, engine and transmission principles.
• Fully trained to become a qualified lecturer; Monday‑Friday, days based.
