Job summary

Kainos, a problem-solving technology partner, is seeking a Team Lead to guide an agile delivery team in building bespoke software for external clients, including healthcare projects in the UK.

You will foster a people-first culture, remove blockers, and collaborate with Delivery Manager and stakeholders to ensure timely, high-quality outcomes.

The role requires strong commercial awareness, client-facing experience, and flexibility to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial awareness and stakeholder management.
• Experience delivering bespoke software in an external client environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Ability to lead agile teams and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Establish ways of working to enable an agile team to plan, forecast and deliver against a product backlog.
• Act as a role model for collaborative behaviours, agile values and professionalism.
• Lead retrospectives and continuous improvement initiatives; applying previous knowledge, experience, and industry best practices in agile delivery.
• Put people first - manage, coach and develop staff, with focus on performance.
• Actively manage the performance of team members, including improvement plans.
• Provide data, forecasts and progress updates to inform planning initiatives.
• Facilitate workshops to capture requirements and achieve a joint understanding of needs.
• Establish and maintain constructive relationships with client, other suppliers and third-party stakeholders.
• Ensure stakeholders can access current data on delivery status and that technical quality standards are followed.
• Support the Delivery Manager in ensuring projects deliver the agreed outcomes within budget.
