Job summary

The University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is recruiting an Assistant Clinical Research Practitioner to join the Agile Research Delivery Team. The role supports NIHR RDN portfolio studies across health and care settings with flexible regional travel from Leicester and beyond.

You will collect and manage study data, assist current portfolio staff, and provide clinical support to patients in trials, while ensuring compliance with GCP and NHS policies and contributing to the team’s research

Qualifications

Developing knowledge of governance and GCP for clinical research.
Knowledge of the lifecycle of clinical research and set‑ups.
Experience with data management/administration in health/care.
Computer literacy with MS Office and web applications; confidentiality awareness.

Responsibilities

Collect, record and maintain data for NIHR portfolio studies across varied settings.
Support portfolio research staff to ensure data completeness, accuracy and compliance.
Provide clinical support to patients in trials (sample collection, tests, measurements).
Coordinate and facilitate concurrent studies across the network.
Ensure compliance with data protection and NHS policies.
Support research across NHS trusts, public health and social care settings across the region.
Collaborate with multiple organisations to drive research delivery.
