Job summary

TrueNorth® is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join the IM&T team in Newcastle upon Tyne. You will bridge business needs and IT delivery, analyse processes, and document requirements to drive meaningful outcomes and continuous improvement.

The role requires strong stakeholder management, experience in Agile environments, and the ability to translate complex information into practical solutions. Collaborative, proactive and focused on delivering high-quality business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working as a Business Analyst, with stakeholder management, requirements gathering and process analysis.
• Experience in Agile environments, including writing user stories and participating in Scrum ceremonies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex information into practical solutions.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Confidence influencing stakeholders at different levels across an organisation.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outputs.
• Experience using BA tools such as Visio and Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and document business requirements with stakeholders across the organisation.
• Investigate challenges and identify opportunities to improve processes and systems.
• Translate business needs into functional requirements, user stories, epics and documentation.
• Support delivery of technology and business change using Agile and Scrum.
• Facilitate workshops, meetings and training to engage stakeholders.
• Analyse processes and data to recommend value-adding solutions for efficiency.
• Collaborate with project teams and third-party suppliers to support design and implementation.
• Produce high-quality documentation and ensure deliverables meet quality and value standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement using business analysis techniques and best practices.
