Job summary

develop in London is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to join a fast-growing tech business focused on complex financial data and AI-enabled software. The role centers on React/TypeScript on the frontend and Java/Kotlin with Spring Boot on the backend, within a microservices framework.

You’ll work across the stack, review AI-generated code, and drive architectural decisions. You will have hands-on input, autonomy, and collaboration with a small cross-functional team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' commercial software engineering experience.
• Experience with Java or Kotlin, ideally using Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools.
• Strong testing, clean architecture, API integration and code quality.
• Able to own features across the full development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of features from design to deployment.
• Develop backend services with Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot in a microservices setup.
• Use agentic AI tools to accelerate development and workflows.
• Review and refine AI-generated code for quality and security.
• Work with APIs, databases and event-driven architectures to deliver features.
• Collaborate with product/design/engineering to ship high-quality work.
• Explore new AI tools and techniques to shape engineering practices.
