Job summary

Vision for Education are seeking a dedicated Tutor to support learners with a range of special educational needs and disabilities. This is a rewarding opportunity to deliver tailored, inclusive education to students who require additional support to reach their full potential.

In this role you will plan and deliver personalised learning programmes, work with parents and other professionals, and help students develop confidence, wellbeing and essential life skills within a supportive team.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience.
  • Experience working with SEND students preferred.
  • Patience and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver personalised learning programmes that meet individual student needs.
  • Employability and workplace awareness where appropriate.
  • Functional English and Maths embedded within everyday learning activities.
  • Confidence building, wellbeing and life skills development.
  • Adapt teaching methods and resources to support a variety of learning styles and abilities.
  • Support students with EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans).
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback.
  • Work collaboratively with parents, carers, and other professionals.
  • Support students' emotional wellbeing and promote independence.

About you

To be considered for the Tutor role, you will:

Hold suitable qualifications, QTS/PGCE or relevant teaching experience

Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students

Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
