Job summary

The Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) seeks an experienced Ageing Well Programme Manager for a maternity cover role, leading the Ageing Well portfolio and shaping priorities across Live Well in Later Life, falls and frailty prevention, and related ageing initiatives. Collaborative leadership with local partners will be essential to improve outcomes for older people.

Qualifications

• Excellent programme and project management skills.
• System knowledge and strategic understanding of the Ageing Well agenda.
• Experience of financial and resource management.
• Strong partnership working and relationship management across health and care.
• Experience of co-production and lived experience approaches.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to a range of audiences.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and deliver high-quality outputs within deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Ageing Well portfolio within the Greater Manchester Ageing Hub, delivering priorities in the Age-Friendly Strategy.
• Provide strategic leadership across Live Well in Later Life, falls and frailty prevention, and other ageing well initiatives.
• Collaborate with local authorities, NHS Greater Manchester, the VCFSE sector, academia and wider public sector partners.
• Drive integration, preventative approaches and strengthen age-friendly priorities across Greater Manchester.
