Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Forklift Operator in York, NE to move products in a fast-paced warehouse with safety and accuracy. Two years of forklift experience and English literacy are required. You will work with a team and maintain equipment while supporting seed delivery logistics.

As part of a contract onsite role, you will track inventory with WMS, perform manual tasks as directed, and help uphold a culture of safety, quality, and teamwork in a dynamic agricultural environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of forklift experience.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Self-starting with a high focus on safety and quality.
• Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with others.
• Forklift driving experience and warehouse experience are highly preferred.
• Ability to work as part of a team to accomplish set goals.
• Prior forklift certification is preferred.
• Mechanical ability, aptitude, or awareness is helpful.
• Ability to count accurately when moving inventory and read scales.
• Ability to work in confined spaces with a forklift.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift professionally and accident-free, maintaining precise records of inspections.
• Perform systematic maintenance and cleaning of forklifts.
• Continuously track the location of goods during material handling using the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Perform manual tasks as directed by the warehouse supervisor or team lead, including sampling, inventory, and cleaning.
• Maintain a clean and tidy warehouse.
• Ensure proper loading and unloading of transport vehicles during the seed delivery and return season.
• Maintain safety standards and initiate emergency procedures when necessary.
