Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Breakfast Club and After-School Club Assistant to provide a safe, engaging, and welcoming environment for children before and after school. The role runs 7:15 am – 8:45 am and 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm, approx. 4.5 hours daily, in a temporary setting in the North East.

The successful candidate will supervise, plan activities, serve snacks, and uphold safeguarding and school policies, working with parents and staff to support children.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children in school, childcare, or youth settings.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and be patient.
  • Understanding safeguarding responsibilities.
  • Relevant childcare qualification (Level 2 or 3).
  • Experience planning activities for children.

About the Role

My client is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and reliable Breakfast Club and After-School Club Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will help provide a safe, engaging, and welcoming environment for children before and after the school day.
