Job summary

TeacherActive in Whickham is seeking a caring Breakfast Club and After-School Club Assistant to supervise and support children before and after the school day.

The role covers breakfast club and after-school sessions, with a 4.5 hour day from 7:15am to 8:45am and 3:00pm to 6:00pm. The hourly rate is £14.95, and this is a permanent position.

You will work with a friendly team, follow safeguarding policies, and help create a welcoming environment for all children.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children in school, childcare, or youth settings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work well in a team and follow safeguarding procedures.
  • Caring, patient, and approachable nature.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support children during breakfast club and after‑school sessions.
  • Organise and lead age‑appropriate activities, games, and crafts.
  • Prepare and serve healthy snacks and refreshments.

Morning & After School Supervisor

Whickham.

£14.95 per hour.

Monday to Friday; 7.15am– 8.45am and then3.00pm– 6.00pm(4.5 hours per day).

About the Role

My client is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and reliable Breakfast Club and After‑School Club Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will help provide a safe, engaging, and welcoming environment for children before and after the school day.

Essential

Desirable
  • Relevant childcare qualification (Level2 or3).
  • First Aid qualification.
