Independent Lives in Hassocks is seeking a self-employed Support Worker/Personal Care Assistant to provide companionship, social activity support and personal care for a 21-year-old man. The role is part-time (5 hours/week), on-site, with afternoons preferred and requires a self-employed contract and public liability insurance.

You will help with independent living skills, transport, and community activities.

Qualificações

• Right to work in the UK
• Self-employed contract and proof of public liability insurance required
• Non-smoker due to medical reasons
• DBS check if required (cost borne by applicant)
• Experience with working with young people with Autism, dyslexia or dyscalculia would be required.

Responsabilidades

• Other relevant duties as required
• Transportation
• Companionship
• Support to access social activities e.g. going to pub, meeting with friends
• Support with chores/domestic tasks, personal care tasks such as showering, getting dressed and preparing balanced healthy meals
• Prompting and step-by-step instructions will be needed for the tasks above
