Job summary

Pertemps Dudley Industrial is seeking a General Operative/Machine Operator for a Kingswinford manufacturing client on a fixed afternoon shift from 2:00pm to 10:00pm. The role is full-time and temporary with immediate starts and the chance to develop experience in a busy production environment.

You will operate machinery, set up equipment, perform quality checks, and uphold health and safety standards while meeting production targets and working both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in manufacturing or machine-operating environments.
• Able to work on a fixed afternoon shift and meet production targets.
• Physically capable of repetitive tasks and manual handling.
• Adhere to health and safety standards and quality procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing machinery safely and efficiently.
• Set up and monitor machinery during production.
• Load raw materials and components into equipment.
• Monitor output and ensure products meet specifications.
• Carry out quality checks and visual inspections.
• Measure finished products for accuracy and quality.
• Complete general assembly and production tasks as required.
• Follow all production instructions and safety rules.
• Maintain an organised workstation and clean production area.
• Report machinery faults or production issues to supervision.
• Work both independently and as part of a team.
