Job summary

Provide Education is seeking a Year 1 SEN Teaching Assistant for five afternoons per week in the S64 area, from 12:45pm to 3:15pm, starting Monday 5th October 2026.

The role involves tailored support to help the pupil access learning, develop independence and engage with the school day, working alongside the class teacher and wider school team. DBS check is required and QTS or equivalent may be preferred for placement.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting SEN pupils, preferably in primary school.
• Enhanced DBS check required.
• QTS or equivalent qualification preferred for placement.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support for a Year 1 pupil with SEN.
• Support learning, development and engagement in the classroom.
• Help implement strategies to meet individual needs.
• Encourage positive behaviour, social interaction and independence.
• Work closely with the class teacher and wider school team.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
