Job summary

Thrive International in the Basingstoke area is seeking an experienced Shift Leader to take ownership of the afternoon shift on a hands-on production floor. You’ll lead the team, drive output, and ensure quality, hygiene and safety standards while keeping downtime to a minimum.

The role focuses on coordinating tasks, running briefings, and maintaining records. A proactive leader who can coach staff, manage performance, and liaise across departments will thrive in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Supervisory or team leader experience in production/manufacturing essential.
• Strong leadership and people management skills; understand production processes, quality standards and health & safety.
• Experience with production or warehouse management systems desirable; comfortable with Microsoft Office and new systems.
• Good communication skills to motivate and liaise across departments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise production team during shift; allocate tasks to meet production plan.
• Run shift briefings and handovers; monitor output and address shortfalls.
• Support changeovers and line set-up to minimise downtime.
• Maintain production records; carry out quality checks and corrective actions.
• Maintain hygiene standards and housekeeping.
