MET Recruitment UK LTD in Swadlincote is seeking General Operatives for a long-established manufacturing business that serves the construction industry. The position offers permanent opportunities after 13 weeks and afternoons shifts: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (Mon-Thu) and 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM (Fri).

Pay is £13.10 per hour with overtime opportunities. This temp–perm role provides a pathway to permanent employment with a company that has operated since 1989 from modern production facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment (essential).

Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing machinery and production equipment, including press machines and industrial guillotine, across multiple departments.
• Load and unload materials safely.
• Assist with fabrication, assembly, and finishing processes.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet company standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Follow all health and safety procedures.
• Support team members to achieve production targets.
