Job summary

Luma Education Recruitment is seeking an Ofsted-registered After-School Club Practitioner (Level 3) to join afternoon sessions in Wokingham. The role runs 2:45pm–6:00pm, Monday to Friday, term-time and some year-round contracts.

You will collect children from classrooms, lead crafts and play, maintain sign-out records and ratios for Ofsted, and hand children back to parents. The mornings are free and extra breakfast club or holiday camps may be available for more hours.

Qualifications

A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential).
Experience working with children aged 3 to 11.
Good knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
Confident, friendly communication with children, families and school staff.
A driving licence and access to a car (preferred, not essential).

Responsibilities

Pick children up from their classrooms when the school day ends.
Run snack time, then a mix of sport, games, arts and crafts, outdoor play and homework time.
Keep sign-out records, registers and ratios accurate for Ofsted.
Hand children back to parents and carers safely and let them know how the afternoon went.
Set up the club room at the start and tidy it at the end of each session.
Help at holiday camps during school breaks (all year round contracts).
