Job summary
St Nicholas First School in Codsall is seeking a dedicated Forest School Lead to join our support staff. This role focuses on outdoor learning to build confidence, resilience, and curiosity in children within a woodland setting.
You will plan, deliver, and evaluate Forest School sessions aligned with personal, social, and educational development. Working closely with teaching staff, you will create a safe, inclusive outdoor space that fosters exploration, supported risk-taking, problem solving,
Qualifications
- Must hold Forest School accreditation.
- Experience delivering outdoor learning sessions.
- Strong safeguarding and welfare responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver Forest School sessions for groups of children.
- Promote wellbeing, confidence, resilience, and independence.
- Ensure safety and welfare through risk assessment and site management.
- Develop and maintain the Forest School area and resources.
- Collaborate with teachers to support curriculum objectives outdoors.
- Encourage environmental awareness and respect for nature.
- Monitor and celebrate children's progress and achievements.
- Maintain high safeguarding, health and safety, and inclusive practice.
- Provide a minimum of 3 Forest School clubs per week.
