Job summary

Quest Employment are currently recruiting for an experienced Counterbalance FLT Driver to join our client in Wellingborough (NN8). The role covers loading and unloading of trailers, packing, and supporting the wider warehouse operations. 2:00pm–10:00pm, Monday–Friday, temporary to permanent for the right candidate.

You will operate a Counterbalance FLT, handle tablets and scanners, and ensure safe, accurate documentation while maintaining high safety standards.

Qualifications

• A valid, in-date Counterbalance FLT licence.
• Previous experience operating a Counterbalance FLT.
• Excellent spatial awareness and trailer-loading skills.
• Good understanding of load planning and weight distribution.
• Confidence handling oversized and unusual palletised freight.
• Experience using tablets and handheld scanners.
• Ability to follow digital documentation and photographic evidence procedures.
• Strong focus on safety, compliance and quality.
• Ability to remain calm, accurate and organised when working to tight trailer turnaround times.

Responsibilities

• Safely load customer collection vehicles and maximise trailer space.
• Safely unload supplier deliveries and process returns.
• Photograph loads and documentation; report damaged or non-compliant loads.
• Support picking and packing and general warehouse duties.
