Job description

Job Title: Aftermarket Manager

We are partnering with a progressive dealership with over 40 years of expertise in the heavy plant and equipment industry, specializing in both new and used machinery. As they expand, they seek an experienced Aftermarket Manager to oversee and improve performance in sales and service departments. This role requires strong technical knowledge, proven leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Details:
  • Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 per annum
  • Location: Within a reasonable commute of Corby
  • Reporting to: The Board of Directors
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and be accountable for the aftermarket parts and service business, inspiring teams with vision and leadership.
  2. Collaborate with Company Directors to grow the aftermarket business, taking full P&L responsibility.
  3. Implement strategies to meet sales volumes and profit margins for parts and service.
  4. Lead Parts and Service Teams to optimize performance and ensure high customer satisfaction.
  5. Utilize DMS, CRM, and manufacturer systems effectively to manage customers and increase sales.
  6. Coordinate with marketing and external contractors to generate new business opportunities.
  7. Execute tactical operations to meet strategic goals.
  8. Prepare and present monthly management reports.
  9. Ensure health and safety compliance across all aftermarket operations.
  10. Maintain operational policies and standards for all functions.
  11. Regularly review team performance with the Financial and Sales Directors.
  12. Coordinate training needs with the Financial Director and delegate tasks accordingly.
  13. Ensure PPE standards meet legal requirements and improve as needed.
Key Competencies:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Teams.
  • Effective multitasking and time management under pressure.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Experience in plant machinery, agriculture, or automotive sectors.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Driven, analytical, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Team player with flexibility and process-driven approach.
  • Passionate about heavy plant machinery and eager to succeed.
