Early Years Academy is hiring an After School Club Playworker for a Hackney setting in East London. The role is 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 3:00pm–6:00pm, term-time-only with school holidays off.

Your Responsibilities

Requirements

Essential

• Minimum Level 2 qualification in Childcare or a relevant equivalent.
• Experience working with children in a nursery, school, after-school club or similar childcare environment.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• A friendly, patient and enthusiastic approach.
• Ability to engage children in fun and meaningful activities.
• Availability to work Monday to Friday, 3:00pm-6:00pm.

Desirable

• Previous experience as a Playworker, Nursery Assistant, Teaching Assistant or Childcare Practitioner.
• Paediatric First Aid qualification.
• Experience working with primary-school-aged children.
• Experience organising play-based activities.
