Job summary

Junior Adventures Group UK is seeking an experienced Playworker to join the After School Club at Eastbury Farm Primary School in Northwood, Hertfordshire. The role runs Monday to Friday, 13.75 hours per week, 15:15–18:00, during term time starting September 2026.

You will help deliver a range of activities, ensure safety and inclusivity, and support children as they transition from school to wraparound care. The ideal candidate is energetic, creative, and passionate about childcare.

Qualifications

• Experience with children desirable.
• Positive, enthusiastic and proactive attitude.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging activities including sports, games, arts & crafts, and structured play
• Create a fun, inclusive, and safe environment for children
• Support children during arrivals, activities, and collection times
• Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and company procedures at all times
• Ensure sign-in and sign-out procedures are completed correctly
• Prepare and provide refreshments while maintaining high hygiene standards
• Assist with setting up and packing away equipment and activity areas
• Complete accident, incident, and activity records where required
• Communicate professionally with children, parents, colleagues, and school staff
• Promote positive behaviour and encourage participation and engagement
