Job summary

Longton Primary School in Preston, Lancashire, is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Out of School Club Assistant to support the Club Manager in providing high-quality care and activities for children after school. You will help create a safe, caring environment and promote development across physical, emotional, social and intellectual areas.

The role is part-time, term-time only, with pro-rata pay for hours worked.

Qualifications

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Desirable: child care qualification or willingness to undertake training.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply).

Responsibilities

• Support the Club Manager in planning and delivering play activities and outings.
• Provide high-quality care and support for children, including those with additional needs.
• Supervise children during club activities to ensure safety and well-being.
• Assist with snacks and meals preparation/serving.
• Assist with administrative tasks and communication with parents.
• Help maintain a clean and safe club environment.
