Job summary

Burton Bradstock CE Primary School is hiring a Childcare Assistant (Extended Day) for 4 hours per week. The role is permanent and term-time only, withTue and Thu sessions from 3:20 pm to 5:20 pm across 38 weeks per year.

The post involves caring for children, taking registers, providing First Aid, promoting self-esteem, safeguarding, and assisting with meal service, resources, admin, and reporting as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality care for children
• Take the register of children attending after school club
• Administer First Aid as appropriate
• Promote and reinforce children's self-esteem
• Assist in safeguarding and welfare of children
• Assist in organising resources for each session
• Ensure a safe environment and hygiene for club
• Assist with food preparation, menus and ordering
• Carry out day-to-day administration and communication
• Attend staff meetings and training
• Ensure legal and statutory requirements are implemented and reporting
