Job summary

Junior Adventures Group is hiring an Afterschool Wraparound - Childcare Activity Leader at Merchant Taylors’ Prep School in Rickmansworth. You’ll lead engaging, age-appropriate activities for children aged 4–11 after school, 3:00pm–6:00pm, term-time only, 15 hours per week, with pay up to £12.71 per hour.

You’ll set up safe play spaces, supervise with enthusiasm, prepare snacks, sign in/out, and work as part of a warm, energetic team. DBS check required; September 2026 start.

Qualifications

• Loves working with children and brings a positive, can-do attitude.
• Creative thinker who can turn an ordinary afternoon into a magical experience.
• Team player who can also lead activities and manage a group.
• Bonus if you have teaching, coaching, childcare, or youth work experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exciting, age-appropriate activities like multi-sports, arts & crafts, group games, and creative play.
• Set up engaging play spaces and keep things safe, clean, and awesome.
• Supervise children with care and enthusiasm, ensuring every child feels welcome and included.
• Prepare snacks and manage sign-in/out with a friendly face and attention to detail.
• Be a team player who can also take the lead when needed.
