Job summary

RSM UK is seeking an Associate Director in Manchester to lead accounting and financial reporting for a diverse client portfolio. You will manage delivery with a premium service, coach and develop the AFR team, and work with Partners on growth initiatives across multiple industries.

The role requires UK GAAP/IFRS proficiency, strong relationship skills and a hands-on approach to business development, with at least 3 days per week in the office to support colleagues and clients.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent).
• Complex UK GAAP reporting including group reorganisations and consolidations.
• Strong technical skills with knowledge of IFRS, FRS102 and Companies Act reporting.
• Business development experience.
• Experience as a Line Manager with advanced coaching and development skills.
• Proven ability to build rapport with client principals and colleagues.
• Strong project management and organisational skills.
• At least 3 days in the office each week to support colleagues face to face.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of accounting and financial reporting services for a portfolio of clients.
• Drive premium service delivery while contributing to growth of the department.
• Collaborate with Partners and Directors to act as trusted advisor to a wide client base.
• People development: coach, mentor and manage the AFR team.
• Engage in business development activities and target new client opportunities.
