Job summary

Certo Aerospace is seeking a motivated Flight Test Engineer to join its multidisciplinary team in Frome, Somerset. The role combines planning, coordination and execution of ground and flight testing with documentation and data analysis to support regulatory compliance.

You will help develop Certo's flight test programme, work with design engineers and workshop staff, and contribute to advancing an uncrewed aircraft platform. A hands-on role with ownership of test activities awaits.

Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace, UAVs, defence, aviation or another highly regulated engineering environment.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Excellent written communication and technical report-writing abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Methodical data analysis and testing approach.
• Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and coordinate ground and flight test activities.
• Produce flight test plans and maintain the overall test programme.
• Support development of new test rigs, methods and equipment.
• Conduct aircraft ground testing and support flight trials across the UK and overseas as needed.
• Capture, manage and analyse test data; produce clear technical reports.
