Job summary

Certo Aerospace Ltd in Frome, England, is seeking an Aerospace Workshop Technician to build and maintain prototype aircraft. You’ll join a close-knit engineering team, assembling components, integrating mechanical and electrical systems, and supporting flight tests across the UK.

Formal engineering qualifications aren’t essential, and there’s clear growth within our advanced aerospace division. The role offers varied, hands-on work with ownership from workshop to flight testing.

Qualifications

• Mechanical assembly experience is essential.
• Experience in aerospace/defence/motorsport sectors is advantageous.
• Familiarity with composites and sheet metal fabrication is helpful.
• Formal engineering qualifications aren’t essential.

Responsibilities

• Build and assemble aircraft from individual components.
• Perform mechanical and electrical integration.
• Support prototype development and upgrades.
• Work with composite materials and precision assemblies.
• Assist with aircraft testing and flight trials.
• Collaborate with Design Engineers and Flight Test Engineers.
