Job summary

GKN Aerospace is seeking a Welder at our Filton site to fabricate and assemble large structural components for civil and military aircraft. You will work with titanium, aluminium, and stainless steel, following SOPs and using industry equipment, with opportunities for night shifts at higher premiums.

The role includes a 25% shift premium on regular shifts and a potential 33% premium for nights after training.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 completed.
• Experience in a manufacturing setting, following SOPs.
• Able to work in small teams with Team Leaders and communicate well.

Responsibilities

• Work with titanium, aluminium, and stainless steel to manufacture aircraft parts.
• Ensure parts are produced right first time.
• Clear work phases using SAP system.
• Highlight non-conformances to the Process Team Leader.
• Follow GKNAF Quality Procedures and HASAWA safety rules.
• Maintain area housekeeping and comply with risk assessments.
