Job summary

GKN Aerospace is recruiting fitters at our Filton site to operate as multi-skilled, flexible workers across fixed-term and permanent roles with both full-time and part-time hours. The 7-day fortnight runs 07:00-18:45 and includes 25% shift premium.

You’ll contribute to wing and structural projects within a safety‑driven, collaborative environment. We’re looking for candidates with a Level 3 apprenticeship or NVQ in fitting, capable of using hand and machine tools, with experience in drilling,

Qualifications

• A recognised Level 3 apprenticeship and NVQ (Or equivalent) in fitting or a similar relevant field
• Export Control understanding and regulatory requirements
• Ability to work to standard operating procedures
• Must be able to work in small teams with Team Leaders

Responsibilities

• Ensure parts are produced on a 'right first time' basis
• Ensure that any calibrated equipment used is within date
• Responsible for the timely clearance of work phases using the SAP system
• Responsible for highlighting any non-conformance to the Process Team Leader
• Adhering to the requirements of GKNAF Quality Procedures
• Accountable for Health & Safety requirements under Section 7 of the HASAWA 1974
• To hold first party inspection approval (M02 status is subject to obtaining A stamp approval)
