Job summary

Catering in Fareham, Hampshire is hiring Assembly Fitters for the Fuels and Valves Department on a contract basis. You will assemble aerospace-style valves, read and interpret technical drawings, and work with engineers to improve quality and on-time delivery.

• Previous assembly experience required.
• Ability to interpret and follow detailed drawings.
• Excellent hand dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Assemble a variety of valves using mechanical hand tools, torque drivers/wrenches, hammers, screwdrivers, and other relevant equipment.
• Support improved turnaround times for critical civil and military contract units by working efficiently and accurately.
• Follow all safe working practices and comply with site regulations.
• Work closely with Engineers and wider teams to drive quality improvements, reduce costs, and support on-time delivery.
• Demonstrate strong teamwork, independence, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Work in accordance with 5S standards.
