Job summary

Catering in Redditch, Worcestershire, is seeking two Manual Welders for a Temp to Perm role in our aerospace team. The role focuses on TIG-GTWA welding of stainless steel, aluminum and exotic materials, following strict CSWIP/AWS standards.

You will interpret drawings, set up welds, perform visual inspections and contribute to 5S and safety initiatives while learning new welding techniques and improving fabrication processes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in manual welding, with a focus on TIG-GTWA.
• Familiarity with CSWIP 3.x and AWS welding standards.
• Experience with exotic aerospace materials.
• Strong team player with good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual TIG welding using TIG-GTWA techniques on stainless steel, aluminum, and exotic materials.
• Interpret drawings and adhere to acceptance standards.
• Work with a team to ensure high-quality welds and timely delivery.
• Prepare jobs for welding, including cleaning and fixture preparation.
• Visually inspect welds and perform non-conformance checks.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project goals and deadlines.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and adhere to 5S and TPM practices.
