Job summary

Leonardo in Luton is seeking a Test Technician to join the aerospace and defence manufacturing team. You will test electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies against defined specs, use specialist test equipment, and support verification activities to ensure product performance and reliability.

Working in a regulated environment, you will diagnose faults, document actions, assist with calibration and maintenance, and help to sustain high test throughput while adhering to safety and quality

Qualifications

• Experience in testing, fault diagnosis, or manufacturing support.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, and diagrams.
• Experience with RF, analogue, digital or power electronics.
• Experience in aerospace, defence, or other highly regulated environments.
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional, environmental, and acceptance testing of assemblies and systems.
• Configure and operate manual and automated test equipment.
• Record, analyse and interpret test results to verify conformity.
• Investigate faults and determine root causes with documentation.
• Support production schedules and maintain test throughput while upholding quality standards.
• Assist with calibration and maintenance of test equipment and fixtures.
