Rolls-Royce Derby invites applications for a Software and Systems Engineer (Hybrid, Derby). Join the Experimental Systems team to design, build and support measurement and control software for world-class aerospace test facilities.

You will work across software testing, data pipelines and IT infrastructure to enable efficient engine testing. We value hands-on engineers who can deliver under pressure, embrace DevOps and Agile methods, and collaborate with global teams to push the boundaries of

Qualifications

• Software testing and test automation.
• Experience in scripting and low-level languages (Python, C/C++, C#, Java, Terraform).
• IT infrastructure familiarity (Windows, Linux, servers, networking hardware).
• Experience in requirements capture/analysis methods (Systems Engineering).
• Experience in Azure build and release pipelines.
• Experience in automated UI testing.

Responsibilities

• Build automated test frameworks.
• Develop applications and data pipelines.
• Integrate IT systems including networks, data movement and storage.
• Support measurement and control system solutions, including high speed data acquisition.
• Utilise DevOps for CI/CD within an Agile framework.
• Requirements capture and analysis, and the preparation of system specifications.
• Implement and drive cyber security best practices.
