Job summary

Safran is seeking a Control Systems Engineer to design, develop, commission and support aerospace test rigs and related equipment. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to implement real-time control solutions, integrate hardware and software, and ensure safe, reliable test facilities throughout their lifecycle.

You will apply knowledge of hydraulic systems, instrumentation, sensor integration and closed-loop control, diagnose faults from schematics, and contribute to both new equipment

Qualifications

• Experience as a Control Systems Engineer within aerospace or another highly regulated engineering environment.
• Strong knowledge of industrial automation, real-time control systems and test equipment.
• Experience with LabVIEW, National Instruments platforms, PLCs, Beckhoff, TwinCAT and EtherCAT.
• Understanding of hydraulic systems, instrumentation, sensor integration and closed-loop control systems.
• Ability to diagnose faults, interpret electrical schematics and deliver practical engineering solutions.
• Desirable
• Experience supporting both new equipment development and legacy system improvements.
• Exposure to aerospace testing, HIL systems, motion control or functional safety applications.
• Degree qualified (or equivalent experience) in Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to ensure test facilities operate safely and reliably.
• Involvement across the full lifecycle of test equipment from concept to troubleshooting and upgrades.
